It has been said by many that our world is a battle field. Not with just humans either, I'm talking about things. Things a lot of us refuse to believe are real, things we tell our child that aren't real. But, what if evil was lurking out at our own feet and we didn't even know it? What if the human race is slowly getting killed off and we didn't even know it?
What if everything that lurked in the dark was real? What if the final days were between man and beasts?

I'm just a normal guy, working on cars for a living. Probably one of the best damn mechanics around this whole town. Lately things have been strange around here. I haven't been getting as many customers as I should.
"You see the paper today?"
My assistant John said, as he approached me.
"No, why?"
"Look."
Getting out from underneath the car I was working on, John handed me the paper. As I looked at it, it read. Local Man Found Dead In house.
"Again."
"The cops really need to do something. I wonder if they h Other Half"No, no get out of my head!"
"Come on, it wasn't that bad was it?"
"Couldn't you have washed off the blood before I went back to normal."
"Look, if it makes you feel any better, she wasn't that bad. She only screamed a little, but you should have been there. It was great ripping her flesh open, watching the blood run like an on going stream."
"ARRR!"
I screamed, while I held both sides of my head. I managed to stumble my way in the bathroom while holding my head. Once I was in there, I found myself at the sink. I turned the sink on and began to wash the blood off myself.
"This won't happen again, I'm done."
"Like hell you are. You forget that I'm you. I live through you and I need flesh somehow."
"NO! YOU'RE NOT ME!"
"Oh, come on Jared. It's not that bad."
"Leave me alone!"

"Well, I guess that's it. Looks like this is a whole new start for us." I said, crossing my arms, looking back at our old house.
"Yeah. I'm just glad that we're finally doing this. It's like we are about to start a whole new life."
